Is anyone using one of their systems? If so, how quiet are they? I'm looking to upgrade my 7500w portable for something automatic, and getting away from running multiple ext. cords

I have a Briggs & Stratton that's about that size with automatic transfer switch, and installed it myself (not for the faint if heart). It's about 9 years old and still works great, and it got a lot of use this winter. It is noisy though. We'll probably upgrade fairly soon, so I'd like to hear how your generac works out, especially wrt noise.
I don't like stuff that sucks.

6 to 8 weeks we'll have a small 7.5kw system instslled[emoji16] it'll be a "Managed" system instead of a whole house due to cost.

We have one at a remote location. Definitely not quite. Biggest problem has been getting it to start.. Control panel drains battery and it didn't have a charging loop built in. A Solar panel wasn't enough to keep the battery charged. Had to add a car battery charger in a charging loop

you want quiet? I suggest a Honda generator.

unless they have a new model out they are not quiet....Honda and Yamaha are quiet, but cost twice as much or more.

Go propane & Honda, although they are hard to find. Some other manufacturers use Honda engines, although I can't remember which at the moment.
