I tried one called the "I bobber" it looks like a floater the half red half white and had the shape of a floater, it always read depth good but I felt like the fish reading was never accurate as it would beep every time it "read fish." Water temp and night beacon work great.

May not always catch a big fish off the kayak. But will always catch an adventure.

I have the vexilar T-pod. Works pretty good. Haven't used it in awhile, but vexilar would be the one I'd buy.

when the deeper one came out, I got it and it has worked well when I'm on shore and want to know the depth and temperature. I even used it before getting the lowrance fish finder on the kayak. It does a good job to be honest. I ran it side by side with the lowrance and it read about the same. Even show fish :)

When on shore, the only thing bad about it is the bluetooth connection. It would constantly lose connection however on the kayak with its short proximity wasn't an issue. The battery was the other downfall.

I imagine the wifi version would be better as far as connection is concern.
