Did a little afternoon fishing at Rancho Seco 3/31. Kind of slow, might be the full moon. It was nice to be on my Prowler13 again and not in my 10' sik. The new bed extender works great. Anyway, I caught 7 or 8 lmb. Nothing big, just the usual.

I also found an ice chest in the middle of an empty parking lot. If the owner reads this and is able to correctly describe it, I will get it to you. :smt002 I'll see that it is treated kindly and used properly until that time. It fits very nicely on the back of the kayak.

Here's some pics from RS:

4/1/07 went to the Delta Meadows. Arrived around 7:30, Ron (Bdaddy), Ryan (2-skinny) and friend Nate arrive shortly after that. I hit the water and worked my way over to the Delta Cut Channel. This channel connects Snodgrass slough with the Sacramento river. Soaked sardines in the channel for about an hour. I was hoping for my first kayak striper but I didn't even get a nibble. Joined the others and went back to the sloughs for bass. I got one hit with an exciting but brief fight, then it let go. That was it for the day. The wind started to pick up so we got off the water around noon. Nice day on the water and a pleasure fishing with Ron, Ryan and Nate.

Here's some pics..sorry, no fish. :smt012

The channel. The gates to the mighty Sac are closed.

Lazy day on the delta

They're just starting to get slimy Adam, should be slimier very soon.
The wind was picking up later in the morning. I noticed it most on my paddle back to the ramp.
The channel and Snodgrass aren't very protected. Rail road slough by the ramp is lined with trees,
so it's not too bad there.

Thnx for the condition feed-back Al.
If you can't tell, I'm a wind and condition nut. Got to know what it was like in different areas when it's blowin from certain directions, so I can AVOID those spots when possible or hit them and not worry.
