I know most are going to the ISE show, but just wondering if anyone was fishing this weekend?

I'm looking at both Lake Hennessy to try my winter bass skills or Sherman lake striper action. Looks like showers and 10 mph winds for both for now, which is doable, but I wonder about debris at Sherman and I haven't looked at the tides yet.

Any input welcome!

Skip sherman, too dirty and cold. Maybe Disco would be better if you need to get your delta on. New Melones and Don Pedro are both fishing well. I  will be hitting Pedro Saturday.

I'd do the lakes, anything with water moving is doo doo brown and all kinds of stuff in it
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I was thinking of heading up to Hennessy on Sunday myself, haven't fully committed yet.  What day are you thinking of going?

Bummer to hear about Sherman, but I kind of expected it. Really I just want to get out and play with my new fish finder some more!  :smt044

Thanks for the intel on Don Pedro and Melones, just too far for this weekend, don't want to burn myself up before crabfest!

Was thinking of going to Hennessy on Saturday, nothing too early. Home alone this weekend with the puppies so I'm trying to stay as close to home as possible, don't like having them in the kennel very long. If you decide on a day let me know and I'll see what I can do! If you have any winter tips for the lake, I'm all ears!

If I do go, it will definitely be Sunday. I've got to see how my schedule looks first though. As for winter tips, I have none specific to the lake, just the standard winter patterns.

Still not sure if Sunday is on but Wednesday I'll be out at Hennessey with a buddy for sure.

Looks like the forecast is ever so slightly better on Saturday, so I plan to head out tomorrow. Will report back and let you know anything I learn!

Lake Hennessy is closed due to the outflow on the damn. Long drive to find that out, but I was able to pick up a biker with a flat tire and take him down the hill to napa where he had cell service, so I feel pretty good about it even though there was no fishing.

That's too bad. Good karma helping the biker though.

Definitely a bummer on Hennessy, but the lake was very dirty even if the launch was open.

I'm still wondering about the feasibility of Tomales bay for crabs tomorrow. I know the swell forecast is high, but it's also from the west. Looks like the wind will be calm until the afternoon. Will probably try and give Lawsons landing a call and see if I can't get out there to drop some pots.

all the lakes around me are very brown and full of logs i would fish the mud line but that would be the whole lake         you may want to give the lakes a week or more to settle or catfish and sturgeon are good bets
