Hi MK here. New to forum. I fish Pyramid Lake this time of year off of my Preception Triumph.  I have 7 years lake fishing experience. Looking forward too offshore (salt water).

You salt water yakers get to have all the fun.... Envy.

I have been successful setting out crayfish traps on Tahoe as well. Yum Yum. Plus you do Lake Tahoe a favor by eating them.

Mail me if you are interested in a  Pyramid Lake meet up.  :

Hey MK,
Welcome, everyone I've meet here is top notch.
Just sent you a PM and I think we will have
On the ocean very soon.
This year the ocean was pretty big most of the year.
Hopefully it will be better next year.

Welcome lululala,
When I was at Reno last October, I took a drive to Pyramid Lake to check it out.  What a beautiful lake.  I've seen videos of some huge trout coming out of there.  If it weren't so far, I'd join you in a heartbeat.  When I was there, the Police, Fire, EMS, and search and rescue were there.  An empty kayak was found floating in the lake.  It turned out that the kayak had blown off from shore.

Welcome!
Used to live in Spanish Springs for a while and fished it a lot back then. Not in a yak, boat and shore/ladder. Fly fished it, tied all the usuals for up there.
That wind, is NO JOKE! I would be cautious in a kayak any day that wind was forecasted.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Pyramid lake is enchanting. Sometimes dangerous. It has a history of lost fisherman. The souls of the "WATER BABIES" , some say.  You definitely need to know when it is time to get off the water. I have had times that even with a rudder I had difficulty reaching shore.
