I'm a long time fisherman, two years of freshwater kayaking, green saltwater kayaker. I have multiple yaks depending on the mood. My wife and two boys also join me on occasion for a paddle or tossing he pole in the water.

Recently moved from Texas back to West Marin and looking for a mentor that can help ramp up my saltwater skills.

Additional passion is my motorcycle and dirt bikes.

Nice to meet you all.

Cheers!

WTTM. Get familiar with the yakronyms and check some hook ups. I think we are more concern of safety than other things. I post hook up most of the time and welcome newbies. just ask questions and you will get in depth information.

Welcome. But, I don't recommend tossing your pole in the water. That can get expensive.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

Considering that I don't current have floats on my rods it would get expensive and boring very quickly.  :smt002

I live in point Reyes and don't do a lot of kayak fishing but dive nearly every weekend from either my zodiac or my kayak. not to much exciting fishing outside of the bay, ocean/ timber coves are the nearest solid rockfishing for us.

So sad but I still have not been out on the water since I've moved back to the West Coast. Started shopping last week for gear so I can finally get out. Have you been out lately?
