Finally got a location confirmed for the RAAC meeting.  They're going to be discussing options for management changes in 2017 so I expect everyone who ever complained that they always hold these meetings in San Diego on a weekday to be there.  This is your opportunity to give input.  The decision will probably be made at the December commission meeting.  That meeting and the MRC meeting in November are in SoCal.

The department is going to be suggesting an annual limit of 9 total for next year.

Really hope a lot of divers attend the meeting on 11/5!!!

If you can't make it (like me cuz I have to work) please consider writing a letter stating that you do NOT agree with a reduction of annual take to 9 abalone per year.

Here is the contact info of where to send letters:

Any NCKA folks heading down.

I know it's the crab opener but if you saw the waves like I did today maybe you will change your plans.  I will be heading over from Ft Bragg so it's like a 5 hour trip but feel there needs to be a representation from current divers and people who don't believe their is an emergency that needs the take to be cut in half.
