One additional note
Im not sure if the Jackson Coosa that I have is in production any more.
There is a upgraded version now "Coosa HD".
Again, good luck in your search and I hope this helps.

Hydrospider...very compelling write up. All look to be very valid points and considerations. I pretty much fly fish exclusively now, so having the additional height advantage would be big benefit. Thanks for taking the time to spell it all out for me.

Thanks!

Josh

Happy to try and help you with your boat selection. Thanks for the topic!  Its not often that there are creek boating/fishing threads and I couldn't help but notice that there were some weaker reccommendations happening.
As far as the elevated chair goes, this link may help too.

If you are going to fish primarily in the elevated position you will find a paddle that is 250cm+ a lot more functional and enjoyable.

Looking forward to your reports and Go Hogs.

My suggestion would be demo them...that would be the best way to really find out what would suit you

Predator MX is a great Kayak, though it's a bit longer than what you're looking for.
