I've been kicking this idea around for awhile and I finally got around to it. Here's what you need and how to do it.

Parts: 2 Hawg Trough's. 2 fiberglass driveway markers (look in a home improvement store by the mailbox stuff). Glue. Sharpie.

Steps:

1: Cut your 2 Hawg Trough's. I cut the end off one at the 30 mark, and the base off the second at the 10 mark. Make sure you take into account the blade width of your cutting tool. I used a 10inch chop saw.

2: Cut each end off of your driveway markers. One end is pointy, and one end is fat. I cut it so that I just has a straight fiberglass peice.

3: The fiberglass rods sit in the channels on the backside of the Hawg Trough. A dab of glue to hold it all together briefly.

4: Check your work. Make sure that the measurements match.

5: Glue the rest of the rods securely the full length of the long trough. I used Gorilla Glue because it expands and has air pockets, which will aid with flotation.

6: Mark your new numbers from 30-50.

7: Go catch a big fish to measure. Or measure your dog, whatever works.

Well maybe if you and VK would invite me when you go I could!  :smt044 I did catch a big cat at CL this week, and another trolling for steel in sonoma today. I'll post a report elsewhere.
