Woot.com - to slow for the good deals

Once in awhile they still have something good at a really good price, but I wanted this bathtub of clams for $1.04.  Of course they are always sold out of the good stuff. 

Seriously though......even if you don't buy from them sometimes it's funny to see their humor.  If you don't know if they are serious just look and see if it is sold out.  If it is then there is a good chance they were just making stuff up again.

True but for $1.04 my wife would have loved that bathtub and some clams for the same price is just a bonus. 

Still not sure why they are still around after Amazon bought them and they do their own sucky deal of the day.

Where else would Yukon Outfitters sell their stuff?

I bought a boc once... It really was some random junk.  Gone are the days of getting a random high dollar item like a tv. I don't even check the site anymore, but I used to every night!

Of years of buying from woot before they were bought out by Amazon I always looked over the woot offs and never got a bag o crap.. I'm so pissed I got pass over this! Fuck you woot! LOL

Me too. I still do check it from time to time, but gone are the times when I'd notice it was time for the new listing to go live and hit f5 to refresh the site until it changed. Got some great stuff for cheap back then. The only good things since the Amazon takeover have been the sales copy is still funny and sometimes they'll blow out stuff they can't sell on Amazon, but it's no longer a 'fun' site.

I like steepandcheap.com. Deals aren't quite as good as they were when SAC first started, but still worth checking. I actually made a decent bit of money while I was in college buying fancy Nixon watches on SAC and reselling them on eBay.

Also scored a couple sweet pairs of Costa fishing sunglasses.
