Wind and swell going in to the weekend look good for Saturday at this time. Sunday is going to rain.

Took out my friends 15 year old son for his first dive and he got three abalone but couldn't figure out the Spearfishing part yet.  He wanted to stay all day even though his dad got out early.  So not sure if it was really good or I have just become used to crappy weather and anytime I can see the bottom I am happy.  Visibility was great but there was a little surge.

Today was supper flat but it was raining and gloomy out there.

Looking at the wind and the swell forecast, I decided to bail.  My 12 y/o daughter wanted to dive for her birthday but thought I'd wait for a better day for it.

Duane and Spinal Tap, thanks for the feedback. Great to hear both of you are bringing in the next generation! Do they know they're going to have to compete with BigJim's kids for diver of the year before long?  BTW both my daughters dive and the big secret to getting them hooked was short dives on good days followed by chocolate chip waffles. Never fails!
Hey I have been wanting to get in up north and see there's a trough this Friday. Seriously tempted to load up, leave work early and head towards Albion or maybe a bit north.
Anyone else thinking of playing hookey Friday?

Saturday looks good.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
