Going to sell my older tarpon 120. I have a bad lower back and I was thinking of a lure 11,5 or looking into a Jackson kayak. Will loading on top of my camper shell. Has anyone had any experience with fishing or sitting in one? Which has the better seat? Looking at upgrading in about a month. Mostly looking at the better seat and more stable.

Thanks

Where do you mainly fish? Tarpon 130x has a bad ass seat and paddles well.

Lakes. And open to take it to the coast. Not planning on it but would like to be able to if I wanted to paddle it around some coves. 98% would be lakes. And I am about 5 minutes from the deep water channel in west. Sac

Just saw a video on it. Can you stand on it? Not planning to but would be nice to get up and stretch  with my bad back

I love my Lure 11.5 because its SUPER stable and I can stand in it without worries. The downside is that it trecks slower than most kayaks due to its width.

Yes I can stand on the 130x. I would not try long distance casting from it, but yes you can stand and stretch, at least I can. If you saw the video on the Wildy site, that is me in the video. Orange jacket grey PFD or grey jacket in shots.

I have a Jackson Kracken and love it. The seat is super comfy and after 5+ hours in it my but is not sore.
I don't stand on mine but I'm sure I could.

Good luck choosing.

I have a Jackson Kilroy and chose it specifically for the stability and tons of storage. It's touch to cartop, but by putting a truckbed extender in the receiver on my Suburban, loading is a breeze.
