No pics, but I just wanted to share how amazing it is to know they are less then 5 minutes from my doorstep! After I hooked into it I got it close to the dock, I was running out of line and so I tighten my drag. As soon as the salmon hit the surface and saw the net, he/she jumped and snapped my line! Noooo! I know the saying, no pics it didn't exist, but they do exist!  It was great hooking one before work, just the thrill and excitement, its ok I will get back at it again tomorrow. They are out there folks, go get em!

Oh ya,  I was in Walnut Grove yesterday, and a guy next to me caught a 21lb salmon. Rumor has it on Friday there were over 30 caught there.

Nic job Steph! Not many get the chance to catch (or almost catch) a salmon before work.

Oh man! That sounds awesome and heartbreaking at the same time Steph! How nice to be that close to great fishing! I have the fever big time and have been wanting to go before work but I live in Union City. I have been wanting to hit HMB before work but I know what would happen if I do. I would end up either being late or not going at all, haha. Hope you get it next time and we need pics!

Hey Steph, I was there at Walnut Grove all day yesterday. Thought I recognize you from the forum. I was the guy sitting down with the white boonie hat. I yelled Steph!? Steph!? Steph kills it!? But you said "No, wrong person". So I thought "oh, ok. Wrong person." Was gonna say hello. Saw you fishing and thought you can really handle that rod! 👍.she can cast! Any how, later in the day I was fishing down river from the dock with my buddy in waders. Finally got a hookup after sundown but it got unbutton after about 5 seconds. Had the same rush for a few seconds there. It's still hit and miss but mostly miss for most people. My buddy got one about 8 lbs and my buddy, Randy, is the one who got the 21 pounder. It's his first this season, so really happy for him. Hope to see you out there!

LOL omg I thought you said my name, but I wasn't exactly sure! I didn't wanna look funny and say yes if it wasn't for me!  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 Omg I wish we talked more! I'm so bad at names and faces, unless I see them more often! I remember you though now! Bahahaha. I fished that dock until sundown! That guy Randy sure brought in that hog nicely! I'm so glad you can vouch for that big one because you know how the saying goes "no pic, it didn't exist!" bahaha! I aim to get back over there soon! Maybe even with the kayak! You should join!
