Sounds good. I haven't fished with you in ages (way over due). PM me as we get closer to the weekend. [emoji476]

So launched around 6:45 and headed North toward the usual spot. Fishing was slow for me. Got a couple of big take downs but I will never know what it was. Otherwise a few RF (black, blue, cooper) and a decent vermilion and a cab. Back a little bit before noon at high tide with no beach, so had to find a way to get out :-)

I saw another kayaker coming back and he had a few good size fishes... Another tandem kayak fished by me and apparently it was slow for them as well.

Anyway, I had a good time and we will have fresh fish for dinner...

Nice job!

Any problems with the parking due to the Golf Event?

I was down in the same general area but decided to take advantage of the flat seas and launch somewhere else and avoid sws cuz of the tourney.

Blues and olives galore, but only saw one small Ling all morning...  :smt012

Yeah I bet the big tidal swing had you landing on the stairs!!  :smt005

Sincerely,

Jim

First I didn't know about the golf tournament :-( but I got there around 6:15AM and managed to park right next to the stairs :-) They had a few spots available and I got the last one.

When I got back instead of trying my luck with the stairs, I used the dock and ramp on the pier. My wife asked the guy nicely and he let us do it

Nice!!

Glad it worked out! Yeah, seems like the early bird gets the spots they mark for temp coastal access next to the pier during events/construction etc.

The only reason I knew about the event is cuz fuzz was looking at the web cams and saw the stands set up and asked me what was going on...at first I thought it might have been left over from the car show but then checked the website and saw the info:
