Got my new yak!

I finally got myself a new yak! I saw it on Chico craigslist and met the guy and gave it a little test paddle and decided I wanted it. I think I got a pretty good deal on it. It is a Feel Free Moken 14 and it came with a wheels, a nicer paddle than I already have, a livewell, battery box, a couple nice railblaza rod holders and a far nicer seat than the one I have already. All this for $699 which I thought was a good price. It was a bit heavier than my tarpon 100 but I managed to load it onto my truck rack all on my own and get it tied down for the trip home. I can't wait to try it out this weekend or maybe a morning before work this week.

Ditch the ratchet straps though and buy some cam straps. Here's  why:

Cpngrats on the new kayak. If you can, flip it over for transport. To much pressure will cause a dent or oil canning.

Thanks, I wait to take it out this week. I actually did end up flipping it before I got all the way home. I noticed it was putting a dent where it was resting on the center bar of my rack. My wife didn't understand the need to flip it over halfway home but I didn't want to damage my new baby, haha.
