If you are set for crabbing in monterey, I can loan you mine. I have 230ft line, you can drop up to 170ft. I weight my crab pot too so it won't move.

Be warned it's really a work out. If you have not tried pull light weight pot, I would not recommend it.
However you are welcome to use mine.

Do some more research. Monterey is a basically a long shot, farthest distance from shore to reach the crab, deepest depth to pull from, no one else crabbing there (no company), etc.   Went out 3 weeks ago on a charter in Mbay and they weren't doing very well way (like 18 crab for 15 pots).  Kayak crabbing is going to be a lot easier in Half Moon Bay, or Bodega Bay, which is where most people end up.  If you want a sure thing, go to HMB, where at least you can buy crab if you fail to catch any  :smt002  If your looking to fish Monterey, Sand Dabs are the best thing to go for this time of year.

You could also hit Bodega bay at Doran beach, people have been having luck there.

Also if you're looking to do lots of crabbing, Promar 102W's are cheap!
