9-10-16 Port of sacramento going early 5:30-6ish to play Come on down!!!

earlier plan went sideways so.... Sat morn hittin it big time! gonna get the striper limits and find those Crappie. Might also jig up those poor lost mud salmon... Come join us. planning to be at Penny bait 'round 5am (ISH) and on the water first light to chase boils and the big ones below!

 

I'll most likely see you out there tomorrow. I'm going to launch around 9 am.

Shhhhh, Penny bait has Jumbo minnows again

Good luck guys, I was there for a couple of hrs. today.
Was able to catch bait sized Bluegills and 5" LMB's on the fly rod, but nothing big.
S-load of boils in the 12-15" range all over before the bridge.
Tons of bait everywhere.

Hope you had fun.  Can't wait to hear how you did.  We've tried a couple of times down there and haven't had that much luck down there.

Got there first light and launched into the bottom of the outgoing tide. Did well on the Diaper stripers Couldn't keep them off the Zoom super fluke i was tossing So much fun with fish Boiling all around us Black bass would NOT be denied the fluke either. They battled the little stripers for it and Emma got a 15 inch large mouth I did see a salmon jigged up at the lock. Chrome perfect I was denied though Still Early  crappie were a no show for us. Striper didn't want minnows... All together, an Awesome Sun burnee day  Now home in time to get some winterizing and Snuggling in before nightfall Ya right, NAP TIME

Yup as a matter of fact.... He did start my way... then left the area when he saw the fluke a flying

Sorry Ron couldn't stay have fly fishing classes all weekend. I came out around 7pm still out here now just enjoying the calmness. Limited out on taco stripers
