Well decided yesterday was a good day to tackle the big blue for the first time in the yak.  After tying leaders and rigging rods into the weeee hours of the night, I over slept. Didn't hit the water till 9:00 after fighting traffic. Oh well, still was worth tying the leaders in advance, my stomach wouldn't of let me tie them otw. Target was Halibut. Launched out of the harbor, and head towards the light house. Knew I was going to be short on time so I didn't dilly dally. Started drifting  Popsicles in about 40' of water for 1 smelt and 2 small rock fish. No halibut! Fan turned on around 11:30 as planed so headed back in.  All in all a good birthday trip and  first trip in the salt. Hey no skunk! Have some to do's for the next trip, dramamine, game clip and a few other small items.

Thanks for the report and pics. Gaff and game clip are going to be needed when you get your halibut...

Yep, gaff and a game clip are on the top of the list. It would of been fun to get one with out though, regular circus act! :ball
