Which guy at FW is the kayak fishing guru? Looking for beta on set ups for river salmon. Mr Matt, please also chime in if you can. Jigs? Spinners? KWIKFISH? General set up with leaders. Thanks in advance.

It all depends on which store you are going to. In Manteca, ask for Tim, in sac, ask for Allen, in San Jose, ask for Amy, and Fresno (my old store), ask for patrick, but Fresno will be closed by the end of the month :'0(

Here are a couple sample rigging setups we use locally (Sac/American/Feather) that I put together for a seminar about 4-5 years ago. Kwikfish/Brad's sizes for AR and parts of the feather typically 13/14 and the Sac usually 14/15/16. One of the ones missing from the board is the jigging set up but that is pretty self explanatory. Hope this answers some of your questions. Just make sure you know the regulation where you are fishing barbless/ single rod/ weight restrictions/night fishing/ETC.

Thanks for info. Planning on trying around Verona Marina. Any special restrictions there?

It appears that the powers to be decided that the last year's sales in the Fresno location have dropped significantly forcing them to close that location.
This news was especially sad for me as I spent most of my career building that location. I have e many memories of my family and friends growing up there

Around verona most people are jigging or trolling using kwikfish or spinners.  Roe is more difficult to use in the main stem.
