Solution: Lowrance ti total scan transucer cover.

I've been asked about the new Lowrance ti units and the concern about the transducer it comes with - hanging down and unprotected. This is valid concern and a reason why I and more guys are not getting into these ti touch units. Well a company called BerleyPro.com has made a nuke proof cover to protect the ducer for many different kayaks. Game on! They also make some really nice sun shades.

And.......  Just a couple days ago a new version of software was released for the Ti to allow interface with the C Monster Power Pole.  I know this will only be helpful to a very select few but it's also a good idea to have the latest-greatest software running.
