I fished the port this morning.  I started out near the Washington boat ramp and on the first cast a 13 inch bass jumped my Whopper Plopper.  Over the next 4 hours I moved up and down the DWC chasing bass and looking for some stripers to jig.  Around 8 AM I hooked up what felt like a decent bass.  She took me around the boat a few times before I pulled this porker in....maybe 4-5 pounds?  My person best.  At the end of the day I had only 8 fish…but one was definitely worth the trip.  I saw some other NCKA’s on the water including “ Rip some lips” (hope I got the handle right) who was with his friend on the hunt….hope you guys found some.  All my fish were taken on a Whopper Plopper except one on a jig.  Some photos for your approval….

Sweet! What color Whopper Plopper? I have never purchased one, but would hate to buy the wrong color since they are $$$.

Victor the color is called "I know it".  I have caught lots of fish on other colors also.   Some good ones are perch, munkey butt and bone. I have used the larger ones but have had most of my luck with the 3 1/2 inch models.  Good luck.

23 inch bucketmouths usually run about 7.5 pounds, so feel free to brag a little harder.
