Received my replacement kayak earlier this week and mounted the FF and rudder earlier today. Planning on giving it a try tomorrow in SC. I should launch from the West side (dock A or F) around 6:30. I will be on ch69. Hope to see some of you OTW

Tempting... But I might wait for Monday, since there is supposed to be more wind, which spells more fun on the AI. Post a report.

So launched as planned around 6:30. Ran into Bushy at the ramp and Dan and his buddy. Headed toward the lighthouse, passed the lighthouse and further south/sw toward a bunch of boats but nothing.
I then went back toward the yellow buoy to meet Dan and his buddy but again nothing. Bushy mentioned he was catching RF with his customers  by the yellow buoy on the East side. So I made my way toward the mile buoy and again not much. A small canary that I obviously released. Then made my way toward to yellow buoy, hooked a ling that I lost by the boat  (missed the net ...), I will say it was about 24", oh well I will get it next time.

Beautiful day on a very calm water with quite a bit of wild life but no baits (only ran into one school). A whale came off 50 yards from my yak while I was setting my rode and scared the crap out of me. Quite a few small dolphins (or porpoises?) as well (you might have to zoom in on the photo...)

And my replacement kayak worked like a charm. Somehow I felt it is a bit faster than the older?

That was me, Frenchie!  Thanks again for helping Dan with his snag.  We had nibbles ALLLL day, but nothing stuck until about Noon.  I caught an eater Brown Rock... gave it to Dan.  That was it.  The wind turned on around 1 o'clock so we headed in.

Bushy, we could hear you transmitting, but I guess you weren't picking up our replies... maybe we gotta use a higher power setting to transmit?  Sorry we missed ya out there.

Hey I saw you guys out there. My buddy and I caught a 23" keeper ling, 3 good sized Browns, and a nice sand dab or sole.
