Anchoring?

How many of you ever anchor your kayaks from the bow?  I'm getting ready to rig up my anchor and I was wondering if there was any situation where I wouldn't want to anchor from the stern.

Abalone diving. I anchor so the bow is facing the oncoming swell.

Also in heavy chop in the bay I'll anchor from the bow so the bow is facing the waves.
