The swell looks like it's going calm down a bit on Sat and I wanted to get out there and troll the surf line and see if I can't get some Stripers. Basically I just want to get out on the ocean and paddle/peddle while trolling flashy stuff.

Yeah I did get out there. Had an unbelievably pleasant day paddling but unfortunately no fish on the troll. Did cast towards shore in the surf line with a MORF grub and nailed 5-6 perch though.

That is cool Z.  I have been wondering about that method for stripers in the surf.  I will have to try that in Monterey one day.

I've heard of yak'rs in SD doing it quite successfully. Seems like a good strategy. Just go out when the surf is small and keep an eye on the horizon for those sneaky set waves.  :smt002 It will make for an exciting adventure for sure!! :headbang:

I live real close to Seacliff and walk that beach regularly, if I start to see stripers coming in, I will let you know!
