Humboldt bay- The Death of Salmon Sam (Part II)

Day 2 on the three day trip was very anti-climatic. With the hot bite the day before, Tim and I was expecting a stellar bite, but it wasn't to be. We worked 8 hours for no pay. We paid the price for a great day 3.

Day 3 offered one of the best bite of the season, at least for me, with large fish slamming the bait all morning. Many Many fish were lost, but many fish were also landed. The wind, waves and swells laid down long enough for us to make it out of the harbor. When we finally located the schools, they were on the munch and hungry. 

Summary:
The weekend went great. I couldn't have asked for more
Final Count:
(2) - 20lb King
(1) - 11 lb King
(1) 8-9 lb Cali Hali
