Since I cannot post pics to the gallery and include them in an email I am posting them here for Chuck E. He expressed an interest on my Plano Box modification.
After reading a post by Mooch about someone buying the marine box and it not fitting in the tank well of his Prowler I thought I had the same problem. It would not go down all the way. I didn't realize the "perfect fit" as everyone was calling it meant it should not sit flush with the bottom of the tank well but should be about 3 or 4 inches from the bottom.
My realization came WAY after my modification.
To make it fit I cut the corners off of one end. Then I found some repair material from an old Zodiac I had. I cut patches and Gooped them to the inside, filling the gaps with more Goop. It took FOREVER to dry but it works.
Hindsight tells me that maybe using PVC cement might have worked better as it will adhere to the plastic much better.
Here are some pics. This is all of them Chuck!

Cool.... thanks Tote!

I know it's a bit of work, but it allows the box to fit lower in the well which makes the tankwell more accessible.

It was actuall Dave (green prowler) that had problems with the marine box....according to him, the box did not even come close to fitting in  :smt011 It seems like he's the only one who's had this problem so far.

Personally... I have not seen a Plano box yet that fit all the way down in the tankwell.  My box falls 2" short of touching the bottom.

Does anybody know for sure if Ocean Kayak designed that space specifically for the orange Plano dry box?

I use the same box in my T-140 with A perfect fit.the one bitch I have is you must leave it open after washing the salt water out of every thing,or else its rust and mold to start your next trip.other than that lil problem its the best thing I have added to my boat since the fish finder/Gps
