I am looking to buy a tandem kayak.  I have a special needs child and so one that carries three would better fit our needs.  Dicks has a Rambler by Perception.  Anyone have any experience with them.  Reviews vary.  Thanks for your help.  Josh.

Perception makes good affordable kayaks. I have no experience with that model though.

I was looking at that one. It was made of good thick stiff plastic. They're made by the same company that makes wilderness kayaks.

Jackson Big Tuna great rig and the front seat can be positioned to face the rear seat so you can talk while paddling and it has a 500 lbs or so capacity. Big Jim might be able to give you more details.

Thanks for the replies guys.  That Bid Tuna is an outstanding boat but a little out of the price range.

I have a Malibu II that I can part with. Seats two comfortably. We had three on it (14 yrs old in the middle on New Melones) this weekend and took a little water--not too much and I had the scupper plugs in so I probably contributed to it. Send me a private message if you're interested.
