Before any of us began the "surf landing" there were two instructors wading by the surf - they were there to signal us when to come in and when to paddle in or when to wait and then to commit and then when to brace the wave. The other instructors were hanging out in the safe Zone with the rest of the students - briefing us while we waited for our turn to surf land...

2nd pic....our very own Frank Fishing :smt001

Joel, thanks a bunch for the super photos. I was pleased that you posted a pic of me upright! I noticed that my thigh muscles are sore so I'm sure thigh braces (the ones I left in the car  :smt013) would give that added support and control when bracing and side-surfing in to shore.

And, yeah, I, too, thought the onshore demos in the sand were very helpful. Cynthia, Carl, Brian, and Mike were some of the other instructors who really had good on-the-water technique advice.

Let's do it again!

Adam - "Grady White" is the name of the boat manufacturer. Alan's boat is a Grady White but is actually named "Eddies Brother" ....I think.

Frank, Bill will fix the pics as soon as he can.
