Thanks! I'll try to carve some time out and shoot ChuckE a PM. Another option I'm considering is a camping trip up at Lake Mendocino and a demo with GWKC. I'm still many months away from making a purchase, so I've got some time. Hopefully I'll be getting some overtime this summer which should help me get a little closer to buying a yak.

Outback Adventures is your closest shop that will have two of those boats for you to paddle.  They are in Larkspur and they do rent the Oean Kayak Prowler 15 and the Malibu Kayaks Extreme.  You can try both out in one shot.
