Here is my report

8 bucks to get in: 5 for your vehicle and 3 for the yak. I was surprised and would have thought they would have had better water access.  I didn't have to walk far to get the water but had to slide my yak down a 3ft drop.  With an 80lb kayak and gear isn't fun, especially getting out with wet shoes.

The red stars indicate were I hooked up.  I fished the area as numbered, 1-12. 1, indicating the first place I fished and 12, the last.

The map is showing a year with low water levels.  I would say the water is about 3 to 4 higher than what is indicated.

1-3. didn't come up with anything. The majority of this area was only 3-4ft deep with a couple spots that were 7ft.  I punched the mats, threw a drop-shot, wacky and a fluke with no luck.

4. had the coolest water in the pond coming in at 72 degrees.  Was able to hook up with a dink but that was about it.

5. gave me the most and best fish of the day.  They were hitting on flukes and drop-shots.   Also came across ~5lb bass, which appeared to be injured, cruising along the weed line. Punched the mats with no luck.

6.  One dink on a fluke.  The area had a huge school of carp that held a massive koi! The guy had to be ~20lbs.

7. Nothing but bluegill and dinks.

8. Caught a dink on a fluke and another punching the mat with a crawl.

9.  One bit, one fish on the fluke.  Threw a drop-shot, fluke and punched the mats

10-11. Nothing

12.  I decided to pull out the fly rod to target bluegill.  Threw a popper which produced about a 6 gills.

Great report.
I haven't fished that pond in decades.
First place I ever took my float tube.

It's been years for me too.
I've fished from shore a few times, but never on the kayak.

Thanks for the report.

Next time try the open water. There are a couple of submerged longs out there.

Way to break down the fishing grounds and hit your target!  I feel like I just stumble around and cast at stuff.  :smt044
