This is just an intel report. Nothing exciting happened for us. Ariel and I decided to give Linda Mar a shot on Saturday. I've never fished there before and I wanted to give it shot--Or least say i tried.

Once we made it though the surf line we marked bait balls 30 ft thick and stacked.  The bait were all nice sized anchovies; spanish mackerel, greenbacks and sardines. I did see holes in the bait ball from predator fish attacking it (Salmon/Striper). The whales were busting the bait hard. There was probably 6 kayakers total out but i didn't see much action.

We worked the bait in the surf line, but nothing seemed interested. I did managed to snag a baby salmon? I was fly lining a sardine when  bird started to peck at my bait, so i pulled it in, only to see this little guy. I tried to revive him but he was gone too far from the gulls. I gave him a proper burial at sea only to see a gull swoop down 5 seconds later and eat him!! Grrr..  :smt013 :smt013

All in all, it was a really nice day. The launch is a little advance so caution to all the newbies. I'm sure it's just a matter of time til that place gets going. --L.A.

Thanks for the report and pictures Keith.  Did you use the Sabiki to have some fun?

thnx for the report. I'm not ready for Linda Mar yet haha. I was down the road at Half Moon Bay on Sat. The surf didn't look nice at all.

With how badly I golfed, I could use another baptism. lol

you will get that salmon soon enough :)
