I'm looking for a rack for the back of my F150 that I could mount our kayak on when we go on vacation next week. We have four kayaks and will be driving just over a thousand miles to get to where we are going so I would like it to be pretty solid. I was thinking one of those black work racks that you see on trucks all the time. I am also trying to figure out how to mount all four of them. Or at least the two bigger ones. My kids both have one but they can go inside the end of need be as they are only six feet long. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You are talking about something like Rack-It lumber rack.  Plenty around on Craigslist.

Trac one at Home Depot for $300. It's bulletproof!
