I went to Stinson Beach for my first time early this morning to fish for surf perch down on the south end near the rocks. I got there during a minus tide and found some spots I could hit when the water came back up. I dragged a carolina rigged pileworm for a hour or so before switching to bait and then switching back to the worm after another hour. I didnt hook and perch but I did catch two leopard sharks by hand through the morning that swam up near my feet and ended up partially beaching themselves. There was also a lot of seals in the surf that seemed to be feeding on something. Anyone ever fish Stinson for Perch?

I always see people fishing there for perch, but the last few weeks all the fisherman(womans) said it's been really slow.they told me that normally they limit out its just these past weeks have been slow.they use sand worms.im guessing pile worms.the few times I've fish for perch I always use shrimp and do pretty good.
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
