Launched at 630 with the FishHunter (Adam). Day started out pretty lousy, forgot my seat, cold and foggy as heck and lost my favorite shadrap 10 minutes into the troll. Trolled Stanley Blvd with no luck. Headed back towards the ramp and got 2 strong hits on each of my rapalas (J7 firetiger and rainbow) 100 yards south of the ramp but each fish got off. Tightened my drag and sharpened and straightened my hooks and hooked what seemed to be a decent fish. Set the hook twice and horsed in a large ranbow. I  netted the trout and brought him on board where I measured him to be 20 inches. As I was removing the hook, the trout jumped 2 feet in the air and back into the water. Same thing happened to me 3 months ago at DV except Zeelander scooped the fish up. Couldn't believe how much harder it was to paddle without a seat and headed home at noon with a sore back. All in all a slow but OK day. It was good to finally catch something after 3 trips for nada and as the fly guys say, a clean catch and release. Good to fish with Adam. Hope those wacky senkos paid off. Pictures to follow.

Pat

Thanks for the tip on the J7 Firetiger, yesterday it was the bomb. Got hit so hard it bent the hooks out. Let me know if you are going out next weekend. San Pablo is really blown out right now. Laying new flooring in my house, might be able to squeeze in some fishing next weekend. Let me know.

Here is Adam throwing wacky rigged Senkos when 2 Canadian Geese tried to start a landslide next to him. Must have been 49 fans.

It was nice  huntin with you,Scott!(pic#1) Morning was a little foggy(pic#2)
I heard some PB'ers talking of dbl.limits right at the pan-handle! Weather was GREAT as predicted.Trolled for 9mi. total,7:oo til 3:oo (tossed for LMB for an hour or two) and did not get a single hit til 2:30! on the "hail-mary-troll"  :smt005  It was planter size and lip-hooked,so it got freed quickly.made a U-turn and passed over the same area again (pic#3)............
(pic#4, #5, #6) a beefy 18"!  fooled by a 2" rainbow/shallow Rapala

Had four take-downs on that lure, but only 2 stuck :smt002
Sweet day to NOT GO TO WORK!!.......and thanks for the COLD ONE under the tire Scott! it still had a chill in it!
