Lots of fish out, got a few olives. Saw more ling cod which were legal in one outing than i ever had. I didnt see one that was under and the largest was about 35" and refusing to budge. i pushed it with my gun and it stayed put even with no eggs. must be a choice ling hole. saw Doug Jones out there as well hunting the deeper reefs.

Some wind, vis was over 40' outside and in shallow it was surgy. swell was tiny, just some wind waves.

This is going to be a great season for lings if April rolls around real soon: )

Very cool.  I've never free dived/dove(?) but I'd sure like to be able to stop imagining what it must be like and actually try it out one of these days.

Can't wait til April!

freediving / snorkeling is great when the water is real clear like carmel has,  in mucky water its not much fun.

start by snorkeling , you light take a liking to it. then you can kind of pick and choose what fish you want: )
