Managed to bail work at noon today so I could meet Swellrider, SinCoast, and Sackyak at Shelter Cove.  Arrived at 2:16 to find the three of them gearing up at the launch.  We outfitted our yaks and headed out by 2:30 or so.  The weather was supposed to be clearing and light winds, but we had cloudy, windy, looks like it'll rain...  While windy, there weren't heavy whitecaps and we could see powerboats outside, so we headed for the Bell buoy.  Hawk and Etienne both dropped two crab traps and PK and I began to troll chovies.  I pulled up a nearby powerboat on channel 68 and he reported 1 fish, but he wouldn't tell me if it was even legal!  The word was it was slow...  We trolled around in 10 knots of north wind and got around 2.5 hours on the water.  Etienne was marking fish on his electronics and at one point managed a starfish, but we were otherwise basically biteless until right before we left when I pulled up a blue that I don't know how long I'd dragged around.  The blue revived well and we headed in for a cold one on the beach before I had to head home to get the kids out for dinner - Friday ritual.  I'll meet the men tomorrow morning first thing and we'll give it a good all-day go and report back.  We heard of one or two salmon caught by the PB's.
