Fished out of Russo's Sat. a.m. (first time to the Delta)   Stayed primarily in the main slough to the left of Russo's past the rocks and around the "small rock wall".  Also fished around the docks.

Caught one schoolie striper (couldn't find the school) around the rocks along with a hit or two, no largemouth.  Saw a few largemouth caught by the bass boat folks.

Water I think is still "right chilly."  Should be really good soon; look foreward to topwater fishing bugs in the weed holes.

Russo's is a little hectic for me; may try to launch at a calmer location if that is possible.  Amazing to see the large offshore boats in the sloughs.

I entered my first post in the hook up section on Friday; had terrific response.  Thank you very much for the replies and I look forward to meeting some of you folks.

Steve,

When you get to Russo's turn left and go down to Beacon Harbor. They are on the internet. They don't get as much traffic as Russo's which is why a lot of the float tubers go out of there.

This report of mine has the link and a bit more info.

I fished Sunday 3-04-07 for a couple hours out of Big Break for Nada but a nice day on the water.

Jeff

Steve if the weather holds up the bite should turn on. But next few weeks there will be a lot of bass boats out there especially at Franks tract due to the FLW tournament 100,000.00 1st plcs and 200 boat entry starting the 22nd I believe. Be careful around blind spots. This is there practice time.
I had some luck in the south part of the Delta on Old river. Water temp 53 degs.
