Lowrance Hook 5 - GPS issue

Get no update fo4 local on Lowrance map or Navionics SIM card.  It still shows my home (house) local on map while I'm at Donner Lake.

What should I try? Reboot?

Are you getting GPS signal?  The triangle con have a '?' in the middle of it?

If you are on the map, are you seeing a set of cross hairs?  If so, it sounds like you are scrolling around the map & need to press the button in the upper right menu that says 'clear cursor's.

Sounds like he is just moving the cursor around or not out in the open for satellite signal.  Youd be astonished at the number of calls I've received where the user can't get the GPS to lock on only to find out they are inside their garage, living room, warehouse at work, etc with their kayak or boat.   

Till I hear back, can't help him.

There is also a menu command "return to vessel."  If you are scrolled away, it won't show the location of the GPS unless you scroll back or press return to vessel.

Yup.  That is a culprit in a lot of "my GPS isn't working" calls I get.
