looks cool ken, bet the bloodworm (or maybe berkeley gulp?) really helps tho.

So a mysterious benefactor lent me a 13.5' light action abu garcia european match casting rod to try.

probably for those guys that cast 200 to 300 yards on grass in england?

He really likes it for grubbing.

It is three piece and super light weight, but not a noodle.

I'm pretty stoked to give it a shot!

John,

I use it probably 99% of the time without any bait.  It works great because any plastic grub with a tail and the perch will nibble on the tail and not get anywhere near the hook.  This system they have to grab the hook.

I got to try this 13.5' abu garcia 3 piece match casting rod for the perch.

if the waves are a little bigger it is real nice to have it.

what is a 'match' rod?

take a look for yourself, some kind of english/european fishing competition.
