Hi folks!

I'm a newb out of Santa Cruz. I've been out a couple of times with borrowed/rented equipment, but now looking to get more serious about the hobby.

I'd appreciate any advice you might have with regard to equipment, etc.. I'm a bigger guy (6'3", 250 lbs), so I'd especially appreciate any guidance into choosing the best "ride" for my frame and Monterey Bay conditions.

I look forward to learning from all of you!

Dave

Welcome, Dave.  Try out a Malibu X-Factor or Malibu Stealth.

Best of luck.  :smt001

Welcome!

I'm about 6'2"/185, and I fish from a Hobie Outback. It handles my height really well, and I'd say I've got "room to grow".

If your finances allow, you won't regret buying a Hobie.

Welcome to the madness. Be sure to get all the necessary safety gear.

Once you have 10 posts, you'll be able to access the members only hookups/reports. You'll see a lot of us fish in Santa Cruz.
