So I've been logging my sonar data and uploading everything to the insight genesis website and it has a lot of good info from when I'm out.  But I am supposed to be able to use the create a map feature to make map files to upload back to my fish finder so I can see bottom contour data from previous trips.  I have the latest firmware installed for the Hook 5 from just a few days ago, but no matter what I do I can't make my map files appear on the map when I use my finder.  I do have navionics on the micro sd card I am using, but I haven't read anything that says you need a separate card.  Anyone have any experience using this?

I've attached a screenshot of my micro sd card folder just to show how I have it loaded.

You do not put the files on the navionics card.  There is a high chance you will corrupt the navionics card files.  The Genesis files must be on their own, blank card.

Would be nice if it said that somewhere lol.  I had the feeling that may be the case but I didn't have another card laying around.  I'll grab one when I'm out today and try it again.  Thanks.

Well I picked up a new micro sd card and loaded up the map files and nada.  None of the map data shows on the map at all and there doesn't seem to be anything in any of the unit's settings to load from the card.  I can browse the files on the card, but there isn't an option to use the files as a map.  I'm assuming it should just automatically use them when the FF boots up?   Any other ideas?

Well I finally figured out the issue.  On the insight genesis site, you must add your chart plotter to your profile with serial number and content id number.  Well, when I first added it I used the serial number on the back sticker of the unit which apparently has a couple extra numbers before the actual serial number that I had entered.  After noticing the discrepancy, I entered the information correctly and the maps work perfectly now.  I guess it uses this information when it creates the map files specifically for your chart plotter and if the wrong information is there, the chart plotter will not display the map.
