We were using these "kayak stands" at the Fred Hall show - they were very light and compact. Very cool to have for rigging or simply to display the yak for future shows.....

Those look like the stands I used to use for putting trays of food on when waiting tables in college!  Maybe a restaurant supply store?

We sell the strap material and hardware needed.  The stand shown in the picture folds within itself and lays nicely in the back of Mark's truck.

I think Marin Schoolie is right. I looked at them while there at the show and they did look like the tri-pod serving stands you see in resturants. Didn't Duane bring his from home? Looks like the one Karen posted but with wheels.

You can also use high-tech camping stools etc.  I have a PVC stand and it works GREAT.  The ones at the show were nice though.
