I use strictly tapatalk, so i get notifications on my phone immediately. I wasn't realizing the lack of emails, but it started to seem quiet, until last night, all the emails started swarming in, random times, and even throughout today, still receiving email notifications, some even from posts a week ago.

Not working

It is working Howard, but it isn't entirely working.  The backlog of emails caused a flood of emails to go out, which caused me to meet a limit for sent emails on gmail, which caused gmail to temporarily suspend emails, which stalled the mailings and backlogged them again, until they lifted the suspension and the cycle started over again.  I think it may oscillate like this for a few days until it reaches a steady state.  I did just change some things on our side to throttle back to 1 email per minute to try to fly  under the radar.  But there are still ~800 emails in the queue, down from 2000+ at the peak.  I may cull some of the lower priority emails, like happy birthday messages, to help flush the system faster.

Thanks. Was not complaining but just indicating not all was OK again despite other claims. Facebook seems to be encountering similar issues which is not surprisingly since it has a much larger number of users.

I tried signing up for Alan Tani's forum and have yet to hear back.

It is a combination.  Gmail updated something on their side which needed an update on the SMF side (see krusty's message above).  All the code is good now, just need a little patience for the system to work its way through the backlog.
