So I have been fishing hard the last few weekends at my usual lake Frenchmeadows. It's usually good to me. But these past few trips have provide nothing for me. Fishing is fishing some days you don't catch any thing but this very usually. Water temp is in the mid to high 50s 15 to 20 foot visibility with a thermocline around 25 feet. Fish holding around 45 feet. Been trolling from the top all the way down to 50 feet. Tried jigging with no luck. Had a couple fish fallow the jig all the way to the kayak. One was a nice brown. Big brown. Been thinking of hitting up another lake this weekend. But still can't decided if I should stick with frenchmeadows or try some where new.  Any one have any thoughts on a new lake that holds Browns or what else I could try to entice a bite at frenchmeadows?

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

I'm headed for Hell Hole Reservoir today. I am hoping to find some big Browns and some macks. I've never been, but I'm going to give it a try.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

That was one lake I had in mind for Sunday. I have never fished there either.  I seem to get to Frenchmeadows never be able to pass it up. I love frenchmeadows. Let me know how you do at hell hole. I have heard they are catching Macks in front of the damn... I don't know how deep though.

What is the road like to Fordyce? What's a good area to fish on Fordyce?
