Dad and I fished Pardee this morning. On the water 8:00, off around noon.
The ramp area out to the main lake was busy with boats. Also lots of people fishing the bank near the ramp and spillway. We trolled our way out to the mouth of the Moke. I caught one on a white power grub behind a dodger. Dad caught 2 on crawlers behind a bronze dodger. Missed a few hits. All our action was near the bluffs near the mouth. The fish had a nice color to them.

Weather was nice, warm with a little breeze. Good times with dad.

Here are some random pics:

4 planes buzzed us on the lake. They flew by very low. This one
was the highiest. Others were closer to the water.

Good report. Nice fish.

Is the line on the image your actual path?  If so, how do you do that?

Yep, that is my actual path. I downloaded it from my gps with a free program called EasyGPS.
Saved the track file, then opened in Google Earth. Very easy to do with just about any GPS and a data
cable. Maybe I'll write it up for Bill to post as an article.

Actually, I used a baitcaster for a little while this morning, then switched to a light spinning rod/reel.
Dad used a Daiwa line counter with a koke rod.

a line counter and koke or crappie rod seems ideal for freshwater trolling and light line.

no line twist, my 4lb mono needs changing much less often than on the spinning reel.

I was told they're holdovers.
