Donner lake Mackinaw fishing

Has any one fished for Macks on Donner lake? And if so what technique did you use and where are some good places to launch the yak? I have neve fished donner and I have never caught a mack and my goal this year is catch just one. More than one would be nice but it's kinda a bucket list fish for me. Any info would be muchly appreciated.
