Fished Kaneohe bay here on Oahu for the first time ever. Mom and hubby bought 2 Prowlers, we broke them in. I caught three crabs and a crazy little tiny reef fish (unknown species, some kind of benny???). Brother Alex (SFAlex) caught an Ulua or piopio or some thing. Little football. Fighter of fighters. We let him swim and have been told since that he should have been on the dinner table. Oh well. Nice weather, warm water, and good times. I really want one of these little tuna-like guys. Next one might not be so lucky. I'll post again after next trip out (Ed, you in? We could use the help and would love to have company...PM me?)....
It's amazing how the nice gear I pay for back home works in comparison to the $29 Daiwa combos we bought. Might as well be fishing with a piece or re-bar. Anyway, stay dry back there n Norcal. HA!
Cheers, Garen

Garen, I always liked you now I'm not so sure!!!!  GRRRRRRR  I am so jealous.  Sitting in the wet cold redwoods while you're shirtless in paradise.  Dude, your parents just went out and bought Prowlers?  SWEEET!!!!  Soon you will be a commuter.

Take notes.  I'm going to pick your brain when you get back in preps for my Kauai trip in June.
