Hi everyone.

I'm located in Sacramento and have been throwing around the idea of picking up a Kayak to fish the delta.  I typically target bass, and every now and then striper.

The kayak I'm thinking about purchasing is the Pro Angler 12.  Since I primarily stand when I fish out of my boat, the Pro A seems like it would be the best fit for me.  I did  rent a feelfree and didn't care for the fact that I had to put my rod down if I wanted to make a cast.

I did read in a couple of posts that if you're under 6' you may have an issue with the pedal drive.  I'm only 5'7, so I was wondering if  there are any other vertically challenged Pro Angler's like myself,  that could offer some feedback on if its a good fit or not.

Any other kayak suggestions?

Thanks everyone, and have a great day!

Welcome to NCKA.  Not familiar with the PA but know others are and should be able to provide guidance.

Welcome to NCKA, outdrsee1.

Here is a report from summer of 2014 where my guest on the water that day had a PA12.  I think he was around 5'5" to 5'6", and he had no problems trolling and covering ground in that yak.

Your height is fine for any of the Hobie mirage drive kayaks.  Some of the guys I fished with in the Hobie Worlds in Australia are shorter than you.
