damn....i was up at sierra sat/sun.  yesterday the flakes were so large and dense.  a lot of snow, didn't wanna leave.  most of the the north shore stuff's been closed on wind hold.  just bought a jones hovercraft that was so fun in the deep.  thursday might work better for me, but wednesday?  been missing too many work meetings!!!!  ha!

I'd probably break a leg it's been so long. SB is one of my favorite places.

Ok, so I hit Sugar Bowl today - great day, sunny, snow was a little firmer than I like it, but better after the sun hit it - would rather have been on two planks. But, I didn't wait in a lift line once. Skied right to an empty chair 10 times in a row! Gotta love weekdays in the outdoors. After 10 runs on Lincoln chair I was done, hamburger on the deck and head home.

Got to thinking while I chomped my burger - I'm gonna be paddling some of this same snow later this season after it melts and runs down on it's way to the ocean. Providing life blood to habitats containing the fish we love to chase. Trout streams will get the first shot at the new water, with high mountain lakes, rivers, reservoirs, bays, and seas all waiting to fill and flush.

I was sure that I would see that same water again, on my kayak, with a fishing pole in hand.

some panos of a hot day in the sierras:
Shout out to vwool for the cool Hoo Rag!
