I have really enjoyed using my Optio W20.  It's so convenient and takes such sharp close ups.  Because of the harsh conditions we subject it to, I added a silicon case to protect my investment and thought I'd pass on the info for those interested. I especially wanted to cushion the little door from knocks that might deform it enough to breach the water-tight seal.

That's a great idea and much less $$$ than a housing.Since your W20 is already waterproof, all you need is  a little added shock resistance.Looks like your W20 takes some very clear pics.I'm seriously considering buying one next month as my toy fund is tapped with a new vhf and Fred Hall this month  :tongue11:

My teenage son "borrowed" my optio to take pictures wakeboarding and snowboarding etc.It was equipped with the silicone condom and performed beautifully!
The camera recently returned from Tahoe with the glass lens cover cracked .:smt013 :smt010 My son swore he hadn't crashed on it!I told him it's his now, only a few months old.I guess the glass cover is the achilles heel.
